Atea’s Event: One Place!
7000 people + kickoff + community = The Place To Be!
7000 people + kickoff + community = The Place To Be!
At Oslofjord we host an incredible number of events and gatherings, large and small. This time we had the pleasure of welcoming a total of 7,000 employees from Atea. They had gathered employees from the Nordic and Baltic countries for a big kick-off around their unifying vision: “The Place To Be”.
This time we were looking for something truly special – and we found it only at Oslofjord. Atea has a tradition of doing big things with employees, customers, and partners. The need to come together grew even stronger after the pandemic. Through our event at Oslofjord, not only was our unity strengthened, but we also nurtured our culture and gained a platform to communicate our strategy.
Steinar Sønsteby
CEO, Atea
To successfully bring people together, but also to strengthen unity and cultivate corporate culture, you need to do a little more than simply throw a big company party. Oslofjord offers the variety and flexibility to expand the scope for your planned activities, entertainment, competitions, shared meals and much more! When this flexibility is truly utilized, it is possible to have parallel activities and events, at the same time and in different places in the area.
On the big arrival day, we transformed the entire Oslofjord into a large festival village. While there were concerts with artists, volleyball matches, mini golf and much more down on the beach, there was a DJ and food service on the Festival Square, as well as various sports and activities in the Oslofjord Arena. A unique opportunity for employees to get to know each other across borders, build friendships and strengthen relationships for a better corporate culture.
On Saturday, before the big banquet dinner, the various conference facilities were utilized to hold meetings for the different countries represented. Each country had its own “hub” so they could customize with relevant content and language for their country. After the countries have had their own meetings, they gathered again for a big banquet dinner with spectacular entertainment and great food. A great way to utilize the entire conference village for something more than just a company party.
The employees are left with good memories and a stronger sense of unity:
