The multi-purpose sports facilities are used by local clubs and organisations through an agreement with Sandefjord Municipality.

Oslofjord is also part of the regional emergency preparedness system and can be used as a centre for evacuees and relatives if needed.

The development of the area has contributed to investments in local infrastructure, including water and sewage systems, pedestrian and bicycle paths, public outdoor areas and the coastal trail at Rossnesodden.
